Peter Bennett

Peter Bennett was born and raised in NYC. He moved to the Lower East Side in 1981 and began photographing life around him. At that time little did he realize he was shooting some of the most reproduced photographs of the day. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Sierra, and many others publications. In 2021, Bennett published his seventh book, “Los Angeles River”, and is planning a book chronicling his time in the Lower East Side in the ’80s.
